Boston Marathon Bomber Sentenced to Death

Dzokhar Tsarnaev was sentenced to death for his role in the Boston Marathon bombing. It took the jury over fourteen hours to come back with the unanimous decision. The actions of Dzokhar and Tamerlan killed 4 people and injured 240 more.

The Boston Marathon bombing took place on April 15th, 2013 by the finish line of the race on Boylston Street. His brother Tamerlan was killed while trying to get away. And Dzokhar was captured later.

During the trial Dzokhar never tried to put any doubt in his guilt for the crimes he committed. On April 8th, he was convicted on thirty counts. The jury heard testimony from victims and their families as well as people who knew Tsarnaev. And in the end came back with the decision to sentence him to death instead of life in prison.
