Poster Unveiled for Winehouse Documentary 'Amy'

The main poster for the upcoming feature-length documentary film about the life of Amy Winehouse has been revealed. The film Amy is from director Asif Kapadia, of Senna fame.

The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on May 16th to all around rave reviews. It will be released in Los Angeles, New York, and the United Kingdom on July 3rd. It will be released in the United States nationwide on July 10th. Earlier this year David Joseph, the UK CEO of Winehouse's label said: "About two years ago we decided to make a movie about her - her career and her life. It's a very complicated and tender movie. It tackles lots of things about family and media, fame, addiction, but most importantly, it captures the very heart of what she was about, which is an amazing person and true musical genius."

Amy Winehouse died from alcohol poisoning in 2011 at the age of 27. Her family has recently distanced themselves from the film because the claim the film is "both misleading and contains some basic untruths". The first trailer of the film was released in April. A new trailer will come out May 20th. The first trailer is below:
