Samuel Jackson Will Not Appear In Captain America: Civil War

Samuel L. Jackson will not revealed to Collider he will not be playing Nick Fury in the next Captain America film

"I’m not in Captain America 3. I can’t figure that out, but I’m not,” he said. "I guess I’m still out there, trying to figure out what happened to S.H.I.E.L.D. and who these other people are.”

Jackson still has two Marvel Comic Universe projects remaining on his nine-picture deal. He is actively looking to stay in the Marvel world. “Of course [I’m interested in returning],” he stressed. "I’m looking for a contract extension right now. I’m looking to re-up.”

Captain America: Civil War will star Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Anthony Mackie, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Frank Grillo, Chadwick Boseman, Jeremy Renner, and William Hurt. It also includes Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Martin Freeman and Don Cheadle, with Daniel Brühl on board as the nefarious Baron Zemo. The film is scheduled for spring 2016

Jackson next project is Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight.
